Taster Sessions – September-October 2021

Come and join us for our Autumn taster sessions to try out traditional morris dancing with our friendly team based in Upper Hale, Farnham. Founded in 1977, Jackstraws are one of the longest-established women’s morris teams in the country and in the summer can be seen performing at fetes, festivals and local pubs. Our taster evenings are the perfect chance to give morris dancing a try, dancing to live music in a supportive and fun group. Dancing is a great form of exercise – and much more fun than the gym. It’s also fantastic for your mental health and wellbeing. Loose clothing and sports shoes recommended.

Our 2021 taster sessions are running each Monday in September & October from 8-10pm at Hale Institute Wings Rd, Farnham GU9 0HW.

Get in touch if you’d like more information, or just come along on the night.

“I love Monday evenings … dancing makes me happy – it’s great exercise and a chance to learn something new with a great bunch of people. It’s really boosted my confidence.

I never knew I was a dancer until I tried morris. “
